The app is provided as a free download from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
It is developed by Het Nieuwe Kader as a service for Museum Het Petershuis.

App permissions

These permissions might be requested as they are required for certain functionality in the app.

• Camera usage: To scan QR codes. The camera image will never leave your device and is not saved or shared in any way.
  The app will only check for matching content in a QR-code and will never display decoded information to the user. No unintended links or text can be loaded using QR codes.
• Location services: To check if you are within GPS range of a point of interest. We do not save or share your location.
• Local Notifications: To notify you when you are within GPS range of a point of interest. These can only occur when a GPS-based route is active in the app.

External Media

The app can load text, images, audio and video from our CMS (Content Management System) server over the internet.
This allows us to select which media is loaded and displayed in the app, which can be used to keep the contents relevant and up to date.
Media cannot be loaded from any other remote sources.

Information Collection and Use

The app does NOT contain any functionality to:

• Create, login or connect user accounts
• Enter text other than the numbers 0-9
• Make any kind of purchases or gambling bets in any real or virtual currency
• Show third party advertisements
• Open or access files not related to this app on the Apple or Android device

Local storage

The app saves user progress in the local storage of the app. This is used to show which content has already been viewed before.
This data is contained purely within the app and can be removed by using either the in-app settings menu or removing the app from your device.

Log Data

We do not explicitly include any form of data logging in our app. However both the App Store and Play Store will log anonimous information related to track performance and crashes of the app.
This Log Data may include information such as your device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

Children’s Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions.
